SPARK The SPARK Philosophy
SPARK’s philosophy is to provide, at modest cost, learning and fun social experiences for participants. There are no prerequisites, tests or grades for classes. Instructors are members or volunteers who have a strong interest in a particular topic.
SPARK is an Elderhostel Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) and a member of the Elderhostel Institute Network (EIN.)
SPARK partners with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC.) This allows SPARK to have an LLI in a collegiate environment supported by the intellectual and cultural resources of the university.
The SPARK office is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Annual membership is from January thru December. The fee is $40.
2012 CLASSES
Winter 2012 classes begin on Monday January 16th.
Spring 2012 Classes begin on Monday March 26th.
Summer 2012 Classes begin on Monday June 4th.
Fall 2012 Classes begin on Monday September 24th.

The Winter 2012 class schedule will be available in late December.
Humanities Classes $30 each. Computer Classes $38 each.
Board Meetings for 2012
February 17th, April 20th, June 5th, August 17, October 19.
The meetings are held in room 102 of the SPARK office.
