ABOUT OUR CLASSES AND PROGRAM:

Annual membership in the SPARK program is $40. Humanities classes are $30 each and a computer class is $38. In some classes there will be a textbook or copy fee. Annual membership begins in January; however, you may join at anytime throughout the year.

Classes meet once a week for two hours and are scheduled from 4 to 6 weeks. We have four semesters a year.

All computer classes are designed to be progressive, enabling you to find the level you will best fit into and enjoy. Classes begin with the basic Introduction to Computers/Basic Windows to more advanced classes, including, the Internet, Microsoft Word, the Excel spreadsheet program, Digital Cameras and others.

Not all of the advanced computer classes are offered each semester. Please view the current semester roster of classes to check listing.

Humanities classes, most semesters, offer courses on art, music, politics, finances, sciences, language, history and literature.

In addition to classes, SPARK sponsors special events in which members have the opportunity to attend cultural activities and visit historic places with other members. SPARK has about 345 members, 55 years of age or older.

BOOK CLUBS

You must be a member of SPARK to join the avid readers of a book club. The group covers a new book each month.

Thursday Book Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.

The Classic Book Club meets on the first Monday of each month.
